While the book The Devil in the White City presents Daniel H. Burnham, architect, author of the extraordinary World's Fair, a legendary American event of the year 1893, will focus on the story of HH Holmes, cunning serial killer who used the event to lure victims in the building where she worked and lived, a kind of Death Castle which included a gas chamber, a crematorium and a table for dissection. Holmes is said to have killed between 27 and 200 people at that time, Sociopath killer use bodies of his victims for medical and scientific purposes.
Leonardo DiCaprio was interested in the subject of this book, inspired by America's first serial killer, Dr. HH Holmes, since its launch, when Tom Cruise got exclusivity, with the intention of playing the lead role. The 36-year-old actor has become the new owner of film rights by his own record company, Appian Way, in partnership with Double Feature Films intends to portray Holmes in the future.
