DC Comics and Warner Brothers are looking for writers for two new potential superhero franchise. Adam Strange and Aquaman will try to arrive on the big screen.
Appian Way, Leonardo DiCaprio's company will handle production from Aquaman, movie I could see the big screen in about 2-3 years 2013 or 2014.
Adam Strange was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, a character who first appeared in 1958. Strange is an archaeologist who is teleported from Earth to the planet Rann, which is charged with the mission to protect the planet from any alien threat. This character is a mix of elements borrowed from John Carter of Mars and Flash Gordon.
Aquaman is a character that was created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, in 1941, a superhero who can live under water and can communicate telepathically with sea creatures. He was a member of the Justice League.
Aquaman was an attempt to reach the small screen, that after the producers of Smallville already filming a pilot for a potential series. But the pilot convinced the producers to finance the show. Justin Hartley who played the pilot of Aquaman finally got his role as Green Arrow in Smallville.
